WrapNexus wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built in a wrap bay — by a team that installs wraps every day and got tired of sending print jobs to suppliers who had never held a squeegee in their lives.
Templar Wraps was founded in 2015 by Ahren Kulas — a kid from Boston, MA who packed up and moved to Orange County chasing one thing: motorsports. Not a marketing strategy. Not a business plan. A genuine, lifelong obsession with cars, competition, and the culture around them.
What started as a passion project became one of Orange County's most respected wrap shops. Over the past decade, the Templar team has built a reputation for doing things right — premium materials, honest work, and a level of care that you can only get from people who actually love this stuff.
Motorsports isn't a marketing angle for us — it's why Templar exists. Ahren moved to California specifically to be closer to the racing scene, and that passion has shaped everything about how we work and what we stand for.
We're passionate advocates for the grassroots motorsport scene — the clubs, the privateer teams, the weekend warriors who show up and give everything they've got. We've had the privilege of working on cars competing in IMSA, one of North America's most prestigious sports car racing series, and those projects have pushed our craft further than any standard street job ever could.
When you send a file to WrapNexus, it's being printed by people who understand what a livery means. Who know the difference between a race number that needs to read at 150mph and a logo that just needs to look good at a car show. That context matters. It shows up in the work.
For years at Templar Wraps, we sent print jobs to suppliers who treated them like just another order. No context. No preflight. No follow-up. Just a roll that showed up and maybe matched what we needed.
So we invested in our own printing capability — and immediately saw an opportunity. Every color-change shop, every vinyl installer, every wrap artist who doesn't have a printer goes through the same frustration we did.
WrapNexus was created to give every wrapper an easy way to make more money and expand their services — without buying a printer, without hiring a designer, without compromising on quality.
You install wraps. We print them. Your client never knows the difference — except that the colors are right, the panels are trimmed to spec, and the order actually showed up when it was supposed to.
We're not a factory. We're a partner. There's a real person on every order who knows what it feels like to have a client waiting on an install. That's the difference.
